Incorporated October 26, 1939

Our mission is "To provide safe and reliable water and wastewater services in an efficient, cost effective

and environmentally friendly manner resulting in a high level of satisfaction among our customers."

In light of recent events, MAWSA offices will be closed to walk-in traffic. It is our hope that this action will help to protect the health and well-being of the public we serve and our vital staff.

The office will be staffed normal hours to serve our customers and provide our operations team with everything they need to provide the continuum of water and wastewater on a 24/7 basis.

A boil-water advisory or boil-water order is a public health advisory or directive given by government or health authorities to consumers when a community's drinking water is, or could be, contaminated by pathogens.

Under a boil-water advisory (BWA), the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention recommends that water be brought to a rolling boil for one minute before it is consumed in order to kill protozoa, bacteria, and viruses. Click here for the CDC's Boil Water Advisory recommendation form.

A Sewer conservation notice or advisory is a directive by the government or authority to consumers when the community's wastewater system is blocked causing or could be disabled allowing sewage to escape the collection system or the wastewater facility.  When this happens it could cause a public health concern.

When a sewer conservation notice or advisory is in effect, the affected area is asked to conserve water until the system is repaired.
